Do LED products require CCC certification?
After years of development, China's product certification system has expanded its certification scope, the influence of certification has been increasing, and the types of certification have become more diverse. As far as lighting products are concerned, there are currently four types of certification categories and one kind of filing requirements in China, involving lamps, light sources, lighting control devices and lighting accessories.
The four certification categories are not CCC certification, CQC logo certification, energy certification, and environmental certification.
Let's first discuss with you the CCC certification, a mandatory certification.

Why is the so-called mandatory certification?
The simple understanding is that as long as your product is in this directory, you will not be sold without this certification.
This system is a product conformity assessment system implemented by governments in order to protect the lives of consumers, animals and plants, protect the environment, and protect national security in accordance with laws and regulations.
It requires products to comply with a package of national standards and technical regulations. In practice, mandatory testing and auditing of products included in the Catalogue is carried out through the development of a catalogue of compulsory product certifications and the implementation of mandatory product certification procedures.
Products listed in the compulsory product certification catalogue are not certified by the designated certification body, and the certification mark is not applied according to the regulations. It is not allowed to be imported, not sold at the factory and used in business service places.
(Different countries sell their own compulsory product certification, such as the EU CE certification, Japan's PSE certification, and the US UL is known as non-mandatory certification)
Do LED products require CCC certification?
The CCC certification was fully implemented from May 1, 2002 (later postponed to August 1), with lamps and ballasts being the first products in the CCC catalog (tenth category).
In the luminaire products, whether the light source is a traditional incandescent bulb, a fluorescent light source, or the current LED light source, CCC certification has been required since 2002, and the GB7000 standard has been used as the test basis.
There are currently 7 types of lamps and 5 types of lamp control devices that require CCC certification, as shown in the following table:
It is important to note that the LED control unit (ie the driver) began to implement compulsory certification on September 1, 2014, with a transition period of one year and enforcement on September 1, 2015.
This means that the LED driver used to do CQC voluntary certification, or not to do certification, and only need to comply with national standards, and then produce and sell in China.
At present, the CCC certification of lighting products is mainly accepted through the China Quality Certification Center (CQC). However, with the continuous deepening of the reform of the testing and certification industry, companies can also obtain CCC certificates issued by other institutions in the future.
