Graphic Equalizer (Graphic Equalizer) is also known as Room Equalizer (Room Equalizer, referred to as room average). It is an indispensable device in the sound system and plays an important role in tuning. It can accurately correct the frequency distortion generated by audio equipment, compensate for the lack of architectural acoustics, and can effectively suppress acoustic feedback and portray the tone personality of musical instruments and actors, etc., so it is widely used in professional dance halls and concert halls . However, because it is more complicated to adjust and needs to be fine-tuned according to the conditions on the ground, it can be beautifully treated and can beautify and modify every detail of the music to achieve an indescribably beautiful auditory effect. The sound is very unpleasant and may even damage the amplifier and speaker system.

In my work, I realized that the room equalizer has the following special frequency points. It is good to master and apply, which is very helpful for practical work.

(1) Raising the frequency of 50Hz by 2 ~ 3dB can give a strong sense of shock.

(2) 50Hz and 100Hz are AC audio frequency points, and care must be taken when upgrading.

(3) 100 ~ 300Hz, such as increasing 3 ~ 5dB can increase the fullness of music.

(4) 300 ~ 500Hz increase 4 ~ 5dB can increase the intensity of music.

(5) Be cautious when lifting at 800Hz, because there will be noisy and narrow feeling after this frequency point is raised.

(6) Raising the frequency of 2 ~ 4kHz by 2 ~ 4dB can increase the brightness of the sound, especially the human voice.

(7) It should not fade at 4kHz.

(8) Excessively high 6800Hz will produce screams, especially the amplification system with microphone connected, will cause high-frequency feedback howling.

(9) A slight increase above 8kHz can increase the sound level and color sense.

(10) It is better not to raise or raise too high the frequency band above 10kHz, it is better to control within 3dB. If you feel that the audio frequency is insufficient, you can add a timbre driver after the equalizer to compensate.

In short, the amount of increase and attenuation of any frequency point should not be too large. The most taboo is that the gains of adjacent frequency points are too different. At this time, the frequency distortion of music is most likely to be induced.
