Guangzhou borrows the Asian Games "Dongfeng" to create a green lighting city

Guangzhou will build 70,000 new street lamps in the main venues of the Asian Games and surrounding roads, and fully implement urban lighting and public lighting projects. According to the plan, Guangzhou will promote the use of more than 200,000 LED lamps, which was learned by the reporter on the 20th from the Guangdong Guangdong Science and Technology Department's Green Guangdong, Science and Technology Guangdong press conference.

Ye Jingtu, deputy director of the Guangdong Provincial Department of Science and Technology, said that the 2010 Guangzhou Asian Games held a rare opportunity for the development of the Guangdong semiconductor lighting industry. LED not only lighted the Asian Games, but also illuminated the main urban areas and roads in Guangzhou.

Wang Guilin, deputy director of the Guangzhou Municipal Bureau of Science and Technology and Information Technology, said that there are currently 170,000 baht in Guangzhou, and there are still 40,000 baht to be built, with a total of 210,000 street lamps. We are preparing to transform 110,000 of them into LED street lights in this and next two years, Wang Guilin said.

Wang Guilin said that in 2010, Guangzhou City will strive to build the first batch of green lighting demonstration cities in Guangdong Province, and strive to become a national-level semiconductor lighting application demonstration city, while the LED semiconductor lighting industry realizes an output value of 800 million yuan and saves electricity costs of 70 million yuan.

Statistics show that in the first half of 2010, the total output value of LED industry in Guangdong Province was about 35 billion yuan, an increase of 80%.
