Intel has begun to reduce the price of Sandy Bridge CPU

According to Taiwan’s “Electronic Times” report, news from notebook makers said that Intel has informed partners to reduce the price of existing Sandy Bridge core Core i3 and i5 series processors, which is approximately 10-15%.

Since Intel has informed the official launch of the Ivy Bridge core processor in April 2012, the company hopes that the price reduction action can stimulate market demand. Currently, some notebook manufacturers such as Lenovo, Asus and Acer deal with Core i3 and Core i5-2430. The overall price of the notebook's notebook has been lowered accordingly.

Sources expect that the above manufacturers will reduce the price of most first-generation Ultrabooks equipped with Core i5 ultra-low voltage processors to 799-899 U.S. dollars in January 2012 to empty inventory to welcome the arrival of the next generation of Ultrabooks equipped with Ivy Bridge processors. .

From the previous exposure of Ivy Bridge prices such as the Core i5-3450 and Core i7-3770, the overall price of the new generation of CPUs is about the same as or about $10 for the old Sandy Bridge.
