Intelligent design of power grid using RFID technology

1 Introduction

The smart grid (also known as the intelligentization of the grid) is based on an integrated, high-speed two-way communication network. Through the application of advanced sensing and measurement technologies, equipment technology, control methods and decision support system technology, the grid is reliable. Safe, economical, efficient, environmentally friendly and safe to use. In view of the problem that the current grid system is damaged and the resilience is weak, and the supervision of the on-the-job personnel to work effectively, this paper proposes a smart grid design scheme based on RFID.

2. How RFID works

RFID, also known as electronic tags, has developed extremely rapidly since the 1990s. It uses wireless radio frequency for contactless two-way communication to identify targets and exchange data. Compared with the traditional magnetic card and IC card, its biggest feature is non-contact, no manual intervention, suitable for system intelligentization, quick and convenient operation, and not easy to damage.

3. The composition of RFID radio frequency identification system

(1) RFID electronic tag, consisting of a coupling component and a chip, each tag having a unique electronic code attached to the object to identify the target object.

(2) Readers, devices that read tag information, can be divided into handheld and fixed.

(3) An antenna for transmitting radio frequency signals between the tag and the reader. It provides energy to the electronic tag on the one hand, and receives information from the electronic tag on the other hand, while also transmitting information to the electronic tag.

The schematic diagram of the structure of the RFID system is shown in Figure 1:

RFID tags have significant advantages over traditional bar codes:

1) It is easy to operate and has a long transmission distance, which can realize the recognition of moving targets;

2) Long service life and working in harsh environments;

3) The content of the label can be changed dynamically;

4) Multiple tags can be processed simultaneously;

5) The signal has strong penetrating ability, small data transmission amount, strong anti-interference ability, sensitive sensitivity and easy maintenance and operation;
