Jiangxi LED technology is on a new path

On the 20th, 2010 China Jiangxi (Nanchang) Green Lighting (Semiconductor Lighting) Industry Cooperation Promotion Conference was held in Nanchang, including Professor Song Xianjie, deputy director of Fudan University's Electric Light Source Institute, and Professor Liu Xingren from Changchun Institute of Optics, Fine Mechanics and Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences. Industry experts will attend the Nanchang meeting and make academic reports.

It is understood that as one of the national semiconductor lighting engineering industrialization bases, Nanchang has occupied an important position in the research and industrialization of LED field. For the production of LED chips, the choice of substrate materials is the primary consideration. The global industry relies mainly on Japanese sapphire substrate technology and US silicon carbide substrate technology. Now Jiangxi LED technology has gone out of the third article. The road (ie silicon substrate technology) costs much less than Japan and the United States.

The reporter learned from the Jiangxi Provincial Industry and Information Committee on the 19th that relying on the research and development advantages of the local LED core technology, Jiangxi promoted the industrialization of “silicon-based blue-light diode materials and devices” with independent intellectual property rights. Jiangxi Province has formulated the development goal of LED industry, and strives to achieve the output value of LED industry in the province to reach 20 billion yuan by 2012, making Nanchang a competitive LED industry base in China and the world.
