The MAX9703 / MAX9704 mono / stereo Class D audio power amplifiers provide Class AB efficiency with Class D efficiency, saving board space and eliminating the need for large heat sinks. These two devices use a class D structure, providing up to 15W efficiency up to 78%. Modulation and switching schemes can eliminate the output filter of traditional Class D amplifiers.
The MAX9703 / MAX9704 have two modulation modes: fixed frequency mode (FFM) and spread spectrum mode (SSM). The SSM mode reduces the EMI radiation generated by the modulation frequency. This device uses a fully differential structure, full bridge output, and comprehensive noise suppression.
