Ronda's revenue in 2012 exceeded 10 billion NT$10.5% annual growth
Huang Denghui, general manager of Ronda Electronics, said that in 2012, due to fierce competition in the LED market and the opening of the mainland's production capacity, the market started price wars and knockouts. Ronda's performance is relatively stable. Under the two major applications of panel and lighting, the annual revenue continues to grow by 10.5%. In addition, the one-stop operation mode is conducive to cost control and efficiency improvement. In 2012, it returned to profit-making positions and became one of the few companies in the LED industry to grow revenue and profit. This is attributed to the company's optimized product portfolio and customers. Combine, strictly control capital expenditures, increase per capita output, and make good use of one-stop vertical integration of operational synergies.
Dr. Su Fengzheng, Chairman and CEO of Ronda Electronics, said that in the past, Ronda’s continued efforts in backlighting and lighting customers, together with the merger of Power League Electronics earlier this year, are expected to see results this year. In the backlight application part, the two application products of smart phones and tablet computers will be able to amplify revenue, and the direct-type TV backlight products will also be heavy, and will seize the huge business opportunities in the mainland market. In the lighting application segment, Ronda has added new customers in Japan, and will continue to introduce high-end series of lamp products. In addition, flat-panel lamps will provide customers in Japan and Europe. In 2013, Ronda will continue to optimize operational efficiency, strengthen the mainland supply chain layout, expand the estuary of backlighting and lighting products, and strengthen technical research and development and patents.
Drivers with dimming capability can dim the LED light output over the full range from 100% to 0%. Dimming drivers can dim LEDs by reduction in the forward current, pulse width modulation (PWM) via digital control, or more sophisticated methods. Most dimming drivers operate using the PWM method. With this method, the frequency could range from a hundred modulations per second to as high as hundreds of thousands of modulations per second, so that the LED appears to be continuously lighted without flicker.
At present, the most commonly used LED dimming power: LED thyristor dimming power, LED 0 / 1-10V dimming power, PWM dimming power supply. Other dimming works by controlling the current and voltage, the frequency of the output to achieve the LED dimming function.
