How to distinguish the quality and price of LED lighting products

1, the characteristics of LED light source

(1) Voltage: LED uses low-voltage power supply, the power supply voltage is between 6-24V, depending on the product, so it is a safer power supply than using high-voltage power supply, especially suitable for public places.

(2) Performance: Energy consumption is reduced by 80% compared with incandescent lamps with the same efficacy.

(3) Applicability: Very small, each unit LED small piece is a square of 3-5 mm, so it can be prepared into various shapes of devices, and is suitable for a variable environment.

(4) Stability: 100,000 hours, the light decay is the initial 50%.

(5) Response time: The response time of the incandescent lamp is millisecond, and the response time of the LED lamp is nanosecond.

(6) Environmental pollution: no harmful metal mercury.

(7) Color: changing the current can change color, and the light-emitting diode can conveniently adjust the energy band structure and band gap of the material through chemical modification method to realize multi-color luminescence of red, yellow, green and blue.

(8) Price: The price of LED is relatively expensive. Compared with incandescent lamps, the price of several LEDs can be comparable to the price of an incandescent lamp.

2, LED light-emitting diodes and wafers

At present, there are only a few manufacturers capable of producing LED and LED lighting . Different manufacturers use different quality LEDs, which is an important reason for the different LED lighting prices. Taking red LED as an example, the price of ordinary red LED for general use is between 0.03-0.08 yuan, and the price of red LED suitable for producing LED lighting is between 0.12-0.36, and the higher quality is more than 3.2 yuan/only, generally not produced. LED lighting manufacturers of LED lighting are difficult to distinguish, not to mention consumers. Therefore, the products of LED lighting factories that use their own LED light-emitting diodes or have complete LED testing equipment are more guaranteed. The fundamentals of LED performance are listed below.

(1) Brightness: The brightness of LEDs is different and the price is different.

(2) Antistatic ability: LED with strong antistatic ability has long life and high price. LEDs with an antistatic greater than 700V are usually used for LED lighting.

(3) Wavelength: LEDs with the same wavelength, the same color, the price is high. Manufacturers without LED spectrophotometers are basically unable to produce pure color products.

(4) Leakage current: LED is a unidirectional conductive illuminator. If there is a reverse current, it is called leakage, and LED with large leakage current has short life and low price.
