Sony, LG and other Japanese and Korean manufacturers have launched 4K large-size LCD TVs

According to the Nikkei News on the 4th, at this year's Consumer Electronics Show (IFA 2012) in Berlin, Germany, various TV manufacturers competed to launch large-size LCD TV technology supporting 4Kx2K (resolution 3840x2160). In addition to LG, Sony, and Toshiba exhibiting 84-inch 4K TV products at IFA, Sharp also showed 60-inch 4K TV products; China's Hisense Group showed 65-inch and 50-inch products, and Samsung Electronics showed 70 inch 4K panel.

Sharp showed 60-inch 4K TV at the 2011 IFA show. This year, it was displayed under the name "ICC-LED TV" and indicated that it will be sold in Japan and abroad in the second half of next year. The price is undecided. The Nikkei estimates that the price of the Sharp 60-inch 4K TV will be significantly more than 1 million yen.

Samsung Electronics is expected to launch a large-size 4K TV product in 2013, with an estimated size of about 84 inches. In addition, Hisense's 4K TV uses Taiwan's Chi Mei's panel, which is expected to be sold in 2013.

On August 30th, Sony announced that it will launch the industry's largest 84-inch 4K LCD TV in the world this year. The price in Europe is 25,000 Euros. The Japanese market is undecided. Sony pointed out that with a 4K panel and an "X-Reality PRO" loop, the 4K TV allows consumers to view 3D images with resolutions beyond Full-HD.

The industry's first 4K TV is a 55-inch product introduced by Toshiba at the end of last year. The Nikkei pointed out that Toshiba plans to launch an 84-inch 4K LCD TV in 2012 or 2013. In addition, LG Electronics has sold 84-inch 4K LCD TVs in South Korea at the end of August, priced at 25 million won.
