Mingban Group and Joint Company Launch Energy-saving and Emission-Reducing LED Lighting Technology

Listed company Meiban and affiliated i3 Labs have launched LED lighting technology for energy saving and emission reduction, which can be used for automotive headlamps. The company said it has already approached automakers and luminaire manufacturers, hoping to secure a 1% market share in the Asian auto market in the first year after launching production.

Wu Hao, executive vice president of Mingban Group, pointed out that in the first year after the start of production, the group will target the 1% market share of the Asian auto market, which is about 10 million US dollars. In the third year, I hope to gain 10% of the Asian market.

The new technology, called Smart Automotive LED (IALED), was developed by i3 Labs in 18 months, but the company did not disclose the amount of R&D investment in the technology.

According to i3 Labs, this technology is believed to be the most efficient LED headlamp mold in the world, with lower energy consumption and fewer LEDs. Save energy while not affecting lighting effects.

I3 laboratory technical director Shen Laifu said that with IALED, the visibility of automotive headlamps will increase, and the brightness will be improved. The integrated IALED will also have a longer service life, improve the efficiency of gasoline use, and then reduce the carbon footprint.

He also revealed that the company has started to contact some lighting manufacturers and automobile manufacturers, and will start production after the successful contact. Now customers have requested to get the goods within six months, so the car headlights produced using this technology may come out in the first quarter of next year, but not necessarily in the local market.

Shen Laifu also mentioned that the customers being contacted include auto manufacturers and lighting manufacturers from Asia, North America and Europe. Mingban Group will be the first to target low-end and mid-range cars in Asia, and this area is currently the fastest growing market.

Production equipment in many countries

Mingban Group has production facilities in various parts of Asia, including China, Malaysia and Singapore. Shen Laifu said that the core competitiveness of Mingban Group is optical, and it does not produce LEDs, but the company will use the LEDs on the market to apply this technology. At the same time, the technology is not easy to copy, and the company patented the technology.

In addition, in order to further expand the research and development of IALED products, the company also plans to expand the R&D team in Singapore and set up a new laboratory focusing on LED automotive lighting research. Mingban Group also plans to promote IALED technology through a large-scale international automobile trade fair and a business delegation organized by the Enterprise Development Bureau.

Wu Zhongyong, chairman of Mingban Group, said that Mingban believes in the return from innovation and innovative investment. A good example is the collaboration between the nameplate and the i3 lab, which combines the production advantages of the nameplate and the expertise of the i3 laboratory in optical engineering. This IALED technology will change the automotive headlamp market, improve product performance, reduce costs and be environmentally friendly.
