Planetary reducer selection method
The planetary reducer is a new type of reducer with wide versatility. The internal gear adopts 20CvMnT carburizing and grinding. In the family of reducers, planetary reducers are widely used in servo, stepping, DC and other transmission systems because of their small size, high transmission efficiency, wide deceleration range and high precision. Under the premise of ensuring precision transmission, it is mainly used to reduce the speed increase torque and reduce the load/motor moment of inertia ratio.
1. When selecting the planetary reducer, please multiply the rated torque of the servo motor you selected by the reduction ratio. The obtained value is in principle smaller than the rated output torque of the similar reducer provided by the product sample, and also consider the drive motor. Overload capability and maximum working torque required in practice. The maximum working torque required is less than 2 times the rated output torque. After satisfying the above conditions, please select the reducer with the smallest volume, and the reducer with a small volume is relatively low cost. If you don't have enough space for the motor reducer to be connected in a straight line, you can also choose a corner reducer that turns the torque 90 degrees.
2. Consider the return clearance of the planetary reducer. The smaller the backlash, the higher the accuracy and the higher the cost. The user has to choose a gearbox that meets the accuracy requirements of the series. Also consider lateral/radial forces and average life. The reducer with large lateral/radial force is highly reliable in installation and use, and it is not easy to cause problems. Usually the average life is much longer than the life of the servo motor. After satisfying the above specifications, you can select the gearbox that fits your motor in the installation dimensions, shaft diameter and input flange according to the product catalogue provided by the company.
Finally, you also need to consider the weight of the motor you are equipped with. A type of reducer is only allowed to be matched with a motor of less than a certain weight. The motor is too heavy, and long-term operation will damage the input flange of the reducer.
